Design Thinking - What moves forward businesses?



What moves forward businesses? Advertising campaigns? The world?

IDEAS

‘idea’ is understood as a basic element of thought that can be either visual, concrete or abstract.

Again, this is a process where we would like to reintroduce the concept of "design thinking"

Designers keep a sketchbook of ideas where they scribble ideas, visuals, paste newspaper clippings. Collect your ideas regarding your business in such a notebook. Keep memo pads around you, in all rooms, and write down ideas regarding your business as soon as they pop in your mind. Gather them in the book and review them.

This will have 2 main benefits.

1. you will be less stressed as your mind won't have to keep the load
2. your business will have a rich resource of ideas and inspiration

Bring the book with you as you discuss with a marketing consultant or advertising agency. This will bring greater understanding.

Our amazing account director, Jane Griffin, is also the Chairman of Carlighow Theatre Company, which recently had a very successfull launching event at Redbrick Mill, Batley: "Home is where the art is. Carlinghow Theatre Company relocates to Redbrick. Friends, supporters and guests recently celebrated Carlinghow Theatre Company’s move into a purpose built theatre rehearsal space within the Northern Academy of Art at Redbrick. The audience was treated to a cabaret showcase featuring performances from the society’s talented cast concluding with a preview of ‘Sugar,’ the latest musical to be staged by this ambitious group. Having built an excellent reputation for pantomime and musical productions during the past decade Carlinghow Theatre Company is keen to attract new members and add to their enthusiastic following. The Northern Academy of Art - Redbrick - is pleased to announce the opening of the theatre rehearsal space at Redbrick. The Art Academy is constantly developing, improving and expanding space that can be used for all types of art."

THE IMPORTANCE OF GREAT CREATIVE

Great creative ads have one thing in common. They sell products, services, ideas or lifestyles. If they don’t do this directly, they are memorable enough to influence a consumer at the time he or she makes a purchase.

• No one cares about your company - Your ad has to give them a reason to care
• If your ad doesn’t convince you, chances are it won’t convince your audience.
• Talk about one thing – one benefit only
• Say it differently.
• Make picture and words work together.
• The worst thing an ad can do is be boring.
• Sell something, don’t just talk.
• Make them respond.
